Red Thread of Destiny

It is a widely held belief in China folklore that an invisible red thread connects those who are destined to be together. I notice that there is a fascination with the color red in China, that is much older than the expression "Red China."

For Becky and myself, we also see a red thread of destiny in our lives. It is the blood of Christ that He shed on the cross. This is the power that has changed our hearts, our lives, and our destinies. The power of the cross is the means by which we were adopted into God's family, with all of the blessings and joy that He intends all of His creation to experience. This red thread of destiny is strong enough to reach all the way to China, to unite us with a special little girl and see us all the way home.

"According as He hath chosen us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love:
Having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to Himself, according to the good pleasure of His will,
To the praise of the glory of His grace, wherein He hath made us accepted in the beloved.
In whom we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of His grace. Ephesians 1:4-7
